Special Education at Beclabito Day School

Beclabito Day School’s special education program meets the academic, physical and emotional needs of its students. The program also focuses on the well-being of all students and aims to serve their cultural needs. Every student receives specialized attention, support, and services that complement their unique abilities and address their learning challenges to improve their educational journey.

Ms. West is our lead special education teacher who guides students in a safe and productive learning environment. The special education classroom allows students to develop efficiently by using hands-on activities with all subjects. Individualized education plans are designed for students in collaboration with teachers, parents/guardians, and specialists.

In addition to our academic support services in mathematics and reading, we incorporate learning activities with our special needs services, such as speech/language therapy, occupational therapy and counseling for students who qualify.
